JUNGLE TREKKING

Jungle trekking is the best way to explore and enjoy yourself being in the forest. Most of the trails are narrow and either not marked at all or not well-marked, thou trails around base camps are easier to be walked on your own. Since Malaysian jungles are dense and sometimes impenetrable, a guide's service is a must. Our Nature guide is very experienced and well-trained and they can take you safely along the most challenging trails - they're your safety insurance, not to be taken lightly!. Most of all, your guide is your teacher and is willing to answer your questions about things you might come across or observe along the trails. Do carry water along while trekking and a good flash light if you plan to be back at late evening.

Off The Beaten Track Jungle Trekking

Trekking in the jungle is considered common to everyone. Off The Beaten Track is for the hard cores - those who really love the jungle and adventure - those who dare take risks such as getting back to base camps late, as we trudge in the dark dense forest where the are no trails , but the one that we. We are the trail finders and good ones too! Those who sign-up this tour should know that they are physically fit. Bring a compass and other survival kits with you. We have done this a lot of time, we have lost many time, many time we have ran out of our foods supply, but we still manage to come back and most of all, we still want to do it. This is what we call adventure - the real adventure in a real jungle.

Our Trekking Grades:

We classified our trekking grades as soft, medium and hard.

Soft: A tour where you will settle in one place and do a short trek from there

Medium: A few hours trek with your backpack to a place where you will settle and move up again next day.

Hard: A long trek ( 5/6 hrs.) with your backpack to a place where you will settle and move up again next day.

Footwear:

Perhaps is the most important item of all. Blistered heels and blackened toe-nails kill any enjoyment along the trail. It does not really matter whether you choose strong leather boots, canvas jungle boots or light 'sneakers' or sport shoes as long as they are comfortable.

Clothing:

Clothing - generally loose-fitting, lightweight clothing is best. Cotton is recommended as the most practical material. Make sure your underwear will not chafe.Best colors in the forest are black, brown or green. If it possible, do wear these colors for a better chance of wildlife observation.
